Cabin Owner Vendor Directory

A cabin is a small business. This is its supply chain.

The Short Answer

This is the owner-facing directory for the Gorge: the cleaners, hot-tub technicians, septic pumpers, handymen, and insurance agents who keep rental cabins running. It is deliberately separate from the visitor-facing tourism directory. It is also honestly under construction — categories are open and vendors are being added as they are vetted. One listing carries a disclosure: Central Property Services, the repair and maintenance company on the list, is owned by me, Marcos Gil.

Why owners need their own directory

The visitor directory answers where to eat and what to do. This one answers a different question: who shows up when the hot tub throws an error code on a Friday changeover. Rural cabin ownership runs on a short roster of dependable vendors, and out-of-town owners feel every gap in that roster at highway distance. Assembling your service bench before you need it is launch-checklist work — the STR launch checklist says so in order — and this page is where that bench gets built.

The categories that matter

The working roster for a Gorge rental: turnover cleaners, the make-or-break vendor whose reliability decides your review scores; hot-tub technicians, if you carry the amenity the furnishing guide weighs honestly; septic pumping on a maintenance cycle; general handymen for the drip-and-hinge list between stays; and an insurance agent who actually writes short-term-rental policies, per the STR insurance page. Add a lawn or snow contact and a backup cleaner, and you have the skeleton of an operation that survives your absence.

An honest status: this directory is building

Plainly: the directory is young. Rather than pad it with names I cannot vouch for, it grows as vendors are vetted — which means categories may be thin when you read this. Two invitations follow. Owners: tell me who has been dependable for you; field-tested referrals are the whole value of a list like this. Vendors: if you serve cabin owners in Powell, Wolfe, Menifee, or Lee counties, reach out through the contact page to be listed. Dependability is the only entry fee.

The listing with my name on it — disclosure

One entry requires a disclosure, so here it is in full: Central Property Services (centralroofrepair.com), a repair and maintenance company serving the region, is owned by me — Marcos Gil, the REALTOR® who publishes this site. It appears in this directory because repair work is a category owners ask about, and it appears with this disclosure because you deserve to weigh my interest when reading my recommendation. Compare it against other vendors exactly as you would anyone else on the list.

How to use vendors well

A short field guide: book cleaners before the calendar opens, not after the first booking lands. Get septic on a schedule instead of a crisis. Keep a shared punch list so the handyman batches small jobs into one economical trip — service-call miles are real money in the hollows, a cost the maintenance costs guide itemizes. Pay promptly and communicate clearly; in a small-roster market, being a good client is a competitive advantage. The owners whose cabins run smoothly are almost always the ones their vendors like working for.

Common Questions

How is this different from the main Gorge directory?

The main directory serves visitors — dining, outfitters, things to do. This one serves owners and investors: the cleaners, technicians, and trades that keep a rental operating. Different reader, different roster. If you are planning a trip, start at the visitor directory; if you own or are buying a cabin, start here.

How do vendors get added to this directory?

By referral and vetting rather than by fee. Owner recommendations carry the most weight — a vendor who has been dependable across real turnovers is exactly who belongs here. Vendors serving the four Gorge counties can reach out through the contact page; expect me to check references the same way I tell buyers to check a builder’s.

Is Central Property Services just your own company promoting itself?

It is my company, and the listing says so plainly — that is the point of the disclosure. It appears because repair and maintenance is a real category owners need filled, and it competes on the same terms as every other listing: reliability. Weigh my ownership when you read the recommendation, and compare alternatives freely.
